Viva la musica – Italy stands for opera and the art of singing like no other country. It was there, the opera was »invented« about 450 years ago. Composers and countless opera singers as well as choirs have made it immortal. New vocal talents from our guest country Italy, in concert with the best of the best of Italian Belcanto composers, deliver a brilliant performance in the gala »Young Voices – Notte di belcanto«. Among them masters like Gioachino Rossini, the gold smith of catchy crescendos and dazzling coloratura, or Gaetano Donizetti and Vincenzo Bellini, virtuosos of fluent melodies, immortalised by their overwhelming, emotional music. A memorable evening in cooperation with the excellency programme for young opera singers by Fondazione Mascarade Opera in Florence.
