With her grooves and beats, she used to be the life and soul of Stefan’s family parties. Stefan, a rich, successful businessman, is currently looking for a motto for his 55th birthday party. Her proposition: »We’ll do something political« to catch the party people with influence, power and money. Stefan’s curt reply is, that he hates activism: »The motto will be »glamour«, end of discussion.« At his party, she grabs the microphone anyway and addresses all the unanswered questions she has. Why is life not fair and why don’t we all have equal opportunities? Are you allowed to be a corrupt arsehole because, after all, the system is corrupt, too? Is exponential growth without alternatives? She doesn’t even hesitate to tell his party guests about the argument she had with Stefan about this and similar issues. Suddenly, he stands behind her – who knows how long he has been there already: »Get out of my house! I’ll report you! You ungrateful piece of shit!«

»Nicht mein ????« by Laura Naumann tells of desperation, repression and helplessness that resurges even when it is clear the time has come to act, to do something, to be active.

»Nicht mein ????« was developped at theatrale Zukunftsforschung im Zimmertheater Tübingen (ITZ) and premiered there in 2022.
