For many years, Chinese artist Deng Xiaomei, who lives in Germany, has been bringing together traditional Chinese music with European classical music, jazz and blues. With her erhu, a two-stringed violin, she tells of a country far away with a completely different musical tradition and creates a strong symbiosis between eastern and western culture with her International Ensemble.
