Farewell Dinner

Comedy by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière

Theatre
Marguerre-Saal
Translated from French by Georg Holzer

Hideko Yamashita is Japan’s most famous expert on decluttering and organising. Her book »Danshari« has sold an incredible three million copies across the globe. But what if people don’t just want to declutter their lives in a material sense but if they want to weed out their friends? Wouldn’t that give you a lot of extra time? So, good riddance – but to whom?

Acclaimed authors Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière (»What’s in a Name?«) turn the hype about minimalism into a comedy in best French tabloid tradition:  Pierre and Clotilde decide to say goodbye to old friends, at least inviting them to a fancy farewell dinner beforehand. But they didn’t reckon with Antoine who has no intentions of giving up their friendship without a fight. An evening that of course soon gets out of hand and has a surprise ending!
