For »Dance × 2« we divide Dance Theatre Heidelberg and present two dance choreographies each with its own signature. Together with one half of our company, Belgian choreographer Astrid Boons will rework her dance play »Crash«, developed in Heidelberg in 2020 as part of »Momentum«, which was set to be an evening in three parts. COVID unfortunately destroyed those plans at the time. Therefore, it is high time for a second attempt.
The other half of our company will work on a completely new dance play with the duo Panzetti / Ticconi. Ginevra Panzetti and Enrico Ticconi are interested in the cyclical return of night. Looking at specific gestures, they analyse the contradictions the dark embodies: Calm, hedonism, nightmare and eros.
