Realitäts(ver)lust

Reality can be frustrating and exhausting. How nice is the idea of being able to simply escape from this reality - into a new one of your own? Or is it this very reality in which we live in that makes our lives worth living? In the coming season, the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg's theatre clubs will be asking themselves what makes us want to escape our reality, when we would like to escape it and where to.
In the 2025/26 season, we are offering six theatre clubs for different target groups. In a protected setting, each club explores what loss of reality looks like and what can create a desire for reality. The theatre clubs will meet in weekly rehearsals and develop their own productions over the course of the 2025/26 season according to the motto »Realitäts(ver)lust« (Loss of Reality), which will premiere in summer 2026.
