An autofictional theatre piece by the Doris Crea Kollektiv about life in the Afghan diaspora

With the take-off of the last plane during the evacuation of Kabul airport, Afghanistan has also closed its doors to the German-Afghan protagonist in “Landsfrau”. She takes the withdrawal of the Bundeswehr as the starting point for an autofictional journey through her memories of an Afghanistan that may never have existed.
Together with the audience, she critically examines over-represented Western positions, images and narratives about Afghanistan and overwrites them with a collage of biographical episodes, nostalgic and fantasy stories, Afghan music and choreographic elements. The protagonist works through the feeling of guilt that arises from a “peaceful” life in the diaspora. The solo evening paints a multi-layered, detailed picture of her life in the diaspora - with its problems and privileges.
