20 years of Freundeskreis celebration
Anniversary celebration with a surprise artistic programme
The theatre is a world of its own – full of magic, superstition, entertainment and magnificent art. This art needs supporters, who have been brought together by the Freundeskreis of Theater und Orchester Heidelberg (Friends of Heidelberg Theatre and Orchestra) for 20 years now. Today, we celebrate both their tireless commitment and the theatre itself, the stage that may not mean the world to many people in Heidelberg, but certainly means a great deal!
The Friends of the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg are celebrating their 20th anniversary: from just under 80 founding members who came together in Heidelberg's Stadthalle in 2005, the circle of friends has now grown to around 400 members. Over the last 20 years, more than £500,000 has been used to support extraordinary theatre projects. Reason enough for an anniversary celebration!
For this special occasion, artistic director Holger Schultze has put together and staged a programme especially for the occasion: among other things, , the children's choir loudly invites everyone to »Theater, Theater«, actress Henriette Blumenau confirms musically: ‘There's so»Im Theater ist was los!« and the excellent soloists of the musical theatre explain »Wie man ins Theater kommt«. All this and much more awaits you, leaving plenty of room for a few anecdotes from 20 years of Friends' activities!
After a champagne reception, we invite you to Alter Saal for the stage programme. Afterwards, we can celebrate together in the foyer with a buffet, music and good conversation!
The production of the decorative parts is carried out in the workshops of the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg.
