How do Jews live in Heidelberg? In a relaxed atmosphere, we will focus on the local Jewish scene and aim to discuss and perhaps even shed light on Jewish realities – from existing (in)structures and (ir)religiousness to experiences with anti-Semitism.
The aim is to create a more nuanced picture of Jewish people and to question the basis on which people are perceived as Jewish or non-Jewish.
Joining us will be Gideon Ballhorn (chairman of the Association of Jewish Students in Baden and advisor to the anti-semitism department of the StuRa at Heidelberg University) and Rabbi Pawelczyk-Kissin (community and university rabbi in Heidelberg). The discussion will be moderated by Evelyn Neyer from the student council of the College of Jewish Studies.
