zwinger x zwei körper
Friends of Arab Art and Culture Association in conversation with Palestinian poet Nida Younis
Zwinger 1
»The world rejects you, unaware that you are only seeking warmth. Blinded neither by wisdom, doctrines, nor the naivety of history…«
Nida Younis is a poet, journalist and translator and one of the most impressive literary voices of her generation. Her texts tell of love, loss, resistance, occupation and social constraints. In her texts, the body becomes the bearer of history – both personal and political. The poetry collection »Two Bodies | Zwei Körper« is the first publication of a selection of 12 poems in German – in close collaboration with translator Wendy Marth and German-French poet and musician Antemanha, who is accompanying this reading tour.
Together with the Association of Friends of Arab Art and Culture, we will chat with the Palestinian poet over tea from a samovar.
