A Little Light. And this Tranquillity.

An engineer reflects on the challenges of modern life – on waking up every day in a society where even the sky belongs to Google and armed conflicts are commonplace. Although, as long as they don’t affect one’s own neighbourhood, city or country even, they vanish from the flickering spotlight after two days. And let’s be honest: if you don’t even know the flags of the affected countries to post in solidarity, it can’t be that bad, can it?!

Between horror and humour, Sibylle Berg, one of the best-known writers and playwrights in the German-speaking world, explores the dystopian-like abysses of our present. The engineer is played by the actress Katja Riemann, a long-standing artistic companion of Sibylle Berg, who previously appeared in her hit play »Und sicher ist mit mir die Welt verschwunden« at Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin. Sibylle Berg’s voice is also part of the production.
