Conscripts Anton and Noah guard the border wall that has recently been enclosing Germany. Anton is in favour of the new ruling party and his country’s national self-confidence. Noah detests all that. He thinks it is wrong that conservative role models are being promoted, environmental protection is being cut down, and refugees are no longer being offered protection. Refugees like Nergiz: she is fleeing from hunger and war. In Germany’s last remaining refugee camp, Nergiz meets Anton. The two become friends. As disaster looms, they both must decide whom to believe, and what they are fighting for and what they are fighting against.
