In this post-performance discussion, we will focus on the historical background of the work »María de Buenos Aires«. In conversation with experts and the ensemble, we will take a closer look at the Madres de Plaza de Mayo (Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo), the world-renowned human rights movement that emerged during the last Argentine military dictatorship (1976–1983), and draw parallels to the artistic translation on stage at the Heidelberg Theater and Orchestra.
