BW Gesang on Tour – Young Voices on Stage!
Open-air concert for visitors to Heidelberg Castle
Young voices are coming to Heidelberg! The Bundeswettbewerb Gesang is the most prestigious national singing competition for singers aged 17 to 30. On 14 July, it brings its talented performers to Heidelberg with the concert »BW Gesang on Tour«: Four singers who have successfully participated in the competition in recent years will perform at the open-air concert in the castle courtyard. The audience can look forward to an entertaining and varied programme, featuring everything from opera arias and musical hits to chanson. Everyone visiting the castle is warmly welcome to attend the concert. The format is also suitable for families with young children.
The Berlin National Singing Competition takes place every autumn, alternating between the categories of opera/operetta/concert and musical/chanson. The summer programme »BW Gesang on Tour« showcases the competition’s talents at various venues across Germany. BW Gesang has already performed in Osnabrück, Augsburg, Schwedt, Altenburg and Bremerhaven as part of this series. The events are open to anyone who would like to experience the musical diversity and high standard of the competition.
