As twilight sets in, Carl Maria von Weber’s »Der Freischütz« imbues Heidelberg castle with a dark romantic atmosphere: Great passions meet goosebumps, love defies temptation as the idyllic forest and the supernatural blur in Weber’s music. »Der Freischütz« is a unique open air event at the Heidelberger Schlossfestspiele.
