Recha reads the news and concludes: We live in a broken world. But her mother, Daja, is only interested in whether she tidies up her room. And her father, Nathan, thinks he’s doing good by telling people an educational story about three rings. That’s not enough for Recha – she wants to get politically involved. But her parents have reservations.

Writer and director Kristo Šagor’s production of »Nathan the Wise« is his introduction to the audience as the new Director of Young Theatre. Award-winning writer Lena Gorelik has revisited Lessing’s classic with a new version for Heidelberg in which she transports the story into the present and asks what prejudices concern us today.
