Mark and Malte share a flat. Mark is drawn further and further into an online game, spending thousands of euros and neglecting his friends. Malte, on the other hand, is stressed out by the gloomy reality of life and faces an increasingly hopeless struggle with his fears.
»Nice« recounts the reality of two young men who support each other – with humour and gravitas, honesty and tenderness. For even when there’s not always a solution at hand, most things are easier when they’re handled together.
Kristo Šagor, the new Director of Young Theatre, revives the Theater Konstanz premiere production of this successful play for Heidelberg.

Congratulations!
In 2025, »Nice« was awarded the Jugendstückepreis (Youth Play Prize) at the Heidelberger Stückemarkt and was staged for the first time in Heidelberg as part of the festival.
The play has been nominated for the Deutscher Jugendtheaterpreis 2026 (German Youth Theatre Prize). Sergej Gößner’s production has also been shortlisted for the Youth Theatre category of the 2027 Augenblick mal! Festival of Theatre for Young Audiences. The final programme selection for the festival will be announced in September 2026, as will the shortlist for the German Youth Theatre Prize.
