Grand Season Preview
Be there when the curtain rises on the new season for the very first time. Even before the first premiere takes place, this special evening offers you a taste of the new programme, plenty of music, surprising moments and encounters with the artists.
Ensemble members from all departments and the artistic teams will give you an exclusive preview of the highlights of the new season. Look forward to classics and new discoveries, comedy, musicals and opera thrillers, as well as dance, drama, opera and concerts. The Heidelberg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Opera Chorus and the band »Rays of Light« will provide the evening’s musical accompaniment.
The evening will be hosted by actors Lisa Förster and Marcus Horn.
Join us to celebrate the start of the new season – which also marks the beginning of a new artistic directorship. Discover the highlights awaiting you on the stages of Theater und Orchester Heidelberg in the 2026/27 season.
Afterwards, the evening continues in the foyer. Enjoy a drink and the opportunity to meet and chat with the artists.

Tip: Before that, at 6.30 pm, DUNDU’s illuminated puppets will set off from the Alte Brücke on their magical journey through the old town to the theatre, where the Grand Season Preview will then begin. Join in the procession and experience luminous poetry for young and old alike.
