Bach's Labyrinth

The ensemble AUX PIEDS DU ROY under the direction of the well-known recorder player Michael Form presents no less than four world premieres – and all from the pen of Johann Sebastian Bach.

The programme draws an exciting dramaturgy from the juxtaposition of musicologically sound reconstructions and speculative transcriptions in cases where a clear reconstruction of the underlying fragments is not possible due to a lack of sources. One of the newly discovered works is the original version of the famous Second Brandenburg Concerto - here in the form of a »Concerto da Camera a 5« in F major. The concerto forms the conclusion of a trilogy, which will also be released as a recording. The ensemble has already received several awards from the specialist press for the first two parts.
