Russia started a large-scale offensive on Ukraine on 24 February 2022. On the orders of Russian president Vladimir Putin, the invasion of the entire Ukrainian territory escalated the Russo-Ukrainian War that had been simmering since 2014. Oksana Savtchenko's play sees three completely different women – one an athlete, one an intellectual and one simply scared – react completely differently to the situation of war. The author uses the story of these heroines and their children to process her own experiences during the last months. Comedy and tragedy are in close proximity in this play.
