1st Youth Concert
»Petrushka«
Aula der Neuen Universität
Igor Stravinsky's stellar career as a ballet composer began in 1910 with the »Firebird«. The next ballet success followed one year later: »Petrushka«. In the youth concert for pupils aged 10 and up, there is no dancing, but concert poet Timo Brunke nevertheless tells a fantastic story: the adventures of three puppets of a juggler who suddenly come to life at a fair and now have to come to terms with their own unfamiliar self-determination. A story that keeps the audience in suspense - with music full of rhythm and melody!
