How does our body feel? In a time of rapid change, violence, and chaos, the choreographer and performer André Uerba explores intimacy as a practice of together ness with five performers and a musician in his new work »Æffective Choreography«, which premiered at the festival edition of the »SENSE« Program Series at Radialsystem. In the performance, Uerba allows the boundaries between sharing and withdrawal, movement and silence, beauty and deception to become permeable and visible at the same time: In a slow tempo, the performers meet, attune their bodies to each other, sink and merge into each other — and surrender to the present moment and its refinement.

Originally from Lisbon, the choreographer, dancer, and filmmaker André Uerba has lived in Berlin since 2013 and graduated in Art, Solo/Dance/Authorship at HZT Berlin in 2015. Since 2018 he has been exploring slowness, touch, and intimacy in a performative context. In 2018, with the support of the Berlin Senate Department and Espaço do Tempo (PT), Uerba realised the project »Burn Time«, which premiered at Tanzfabrik Berlin and has since toured internationally. Since 2021 he has been training at Institut für Somatisches Lernen, Sexualität und Körperarbeit (ISB Berlin).
