As the Moon Roars Through the Neckar Valley
Songs and texts from the Romantic exile of Schumann, Heine, Eichendorff and others
Zwinger 1
[recommended for ages 14 and up]
So they are stuck. On the run, in exile, they are stuck with their few possessions and are looking back across the border, the river, back towards their home. They fight, they fall in love and then grow apart from each other. They bandy about songs and texts and find companionship in choir singing. An interdisciplinary ensemble of theatre and musical theatre is hunting for clues with Holger Schultze, casting a relishing and reserved look onto Romanticism – then and now.
This production is accompanied by a programme from the Arts & Education team.
