Theatre

»The Talented Mr. Ripley« by Patricia Highsmith is a classic psychological thriller. The complex main character plays a clever game with identity and morality.

Tom Ripley is employed by a rich New Yorker, Greenleaf, to convince his son Richard to return to the USA. He travels to Italy, where Richard and his girlfriend are enjoying the careless dolce vita that Tom has always dreamt of. Having been paid handsomely, Tom conceals that Richard does not want to return. When Greenleaf ends the commission and Tom loses his financial backing, he kills Richard and adopts his identity. How long before his dangerous game is up?

Press reviews
