»How mean!« One day, as the little mole is getting up, he cannot but notice that someone has left their business on his head. Furious, he sets out to find the culprit: who did that? Was it the pigeon, the horse, the cow, the goat or even the hare?!

Werner Holzwarth’s children’s book has delighted adults and children alike since 1989. In 2022, Elisabeth Naske turned it into an enchanting opera for very young audiences. The lovable mole is accompanied by a musical friend: the viola.
