TheaterMobil
Theatre is coming to you! We are bringing plays to Heidelberg’s districts and around with the new TheaterMobil. You’ll find us in Emmertsgrund, on Boxberg, at Pfaffengrund and other places – as a planned event or on the spur of the moment. All it takes is to raise the tarpaulin and put up a few chairs: off we go and play for you!
There’s more: please join in and sing, dance, talk, play with us during workshops with a cup of chai, coffee, lemonade or mulled wine. The TheaterMobil is an open space for encounters: a space for conversations, community and moments with arts and culture. Heidelberg is a stage – and its districts lively venues.

Where to find us
From 4 October 2026, our travelling theatre is taking to the road to visit the districts of Heidelberg and neighbouring communities. Once a week we will turn squares, school yards and parks into animated theatre venues for a few hours.

The TheaterMobil is taking a winter break at the end of the year. We’ll return to the road from spring 2027.

What we need
• an even pitch (approx. 10 by 10 metres) that is easily reached and where the TheaterMobil can remain for a few hours
• someone familiar with the location who’s on site and can answer questions (preferably also about technical issues)
• power supply: one or ideally two separate 230 V sockets
