Accessibility
The Heidelberg Theatre and Orchestra wants to make its events accessible to all interested parties. The theatre box office and the venues Marguerre-Saal (5 wheelchair spaces in the stalls) and Alter Saal (6 wheelchair spaces in the stalls) are steplessly accessible via a ramp. The Zwinger 1 (8 wheelchair spaces) and Zwinger 3 (10 wheelchair spaces) venues are equipped with stair lifts (max. 225 kg). The cloakrooms and sanitary facilities in these venues are also accessible without steps or with a stair lift.
Reservation of wheelchair spaces and further information, also about the other venues, at the theatre box office, 06221/58 20 000 or tickets@theater.heidelberg.de
Inductive hearing system
At performances in the Marguerre-Saal, the Alter Saal and Zwinger 1, inductive hearing systems can be used to improve the quality of hearing for people with hearing aids. The electromagnetic waves of these induction loops can be received by suitable hearing aids (with a T-coil). To do this, the hearing aid must be set to T-mode before the event begins.
In order to make the best possible use of this service, we recommend that you use stalls rows 2 to 13 in the Marguerre-Saal and stalls rows 1 to 7 in the Old Hall.
If you have a hearing aid but do not know whether it has a T-coil, please contact your specialist hearing aid shop for advice.
