Detlef Mitscher

Detlef Mitscher studied clarinet with Prof Hans Pfeifer in Mannheim and conducting with Prof Karl Heinz Zettl in Leipzig. After a year as a member of the now disbanded Philharmonia Hungarica, he came to Heidelberg in 1993, where he holds the position of deputy principal clarinettist. He played in a woodwind quintet for over 20 years and is now increasingly devoting himself to other ensembles.
