Giorgi Maisuradze

Giorgi Maisuradze (born 1970) is a writer, cultural scientist and publicist who teaches at Ilia State University in Tbilisi. He studied in Tbilisi, Saarbrücken and Berlin. From 2008-2013 he worked at the Centre for Literary and Cultural Research in Berlin. Author of both literary and academic books, including in German (»Genese und Genealogie«, Berlin 2013; »Sonniges Georgien. Figuration des Nationalen im Sowjetimperium«, Berlin 2015, together with F. Thun-Hohenstein). In 2023, his theatre plays were published under the title »Lethe« (Indigo Verlag, Tbilisi). As a co-founder of the Laboratory of Performing Arts, he is also active as a director.
