Sandra Bezler

Sandra Bezler, born in 1989, studied philosophy, African studies, Romance studies and art history in Frankfurt am Main before completing her acting training at Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover. Her first guest engagements took her to Staatstheater Braunschweig and Nationaltheater Mannheim. From 2016 to 2020, Sandra Bezler was an ensemble member of Theater Münster, where she performed numerous leading roles. She has worked with directors such as Tuğsal Moğul, Katrin Plötner, Volker Lösch, Marta Górnicka, Matthias Rippert, Christian Brey, Simone Blattner and Julia Prechsl. She also sings in the band CLAIR. Sandra Bezler founded and directed the citizens' choir project KOR! which was incorporated into the repertoire of Theater Münster as Bürgerbühne. There she also created her first own directorial works. Most recently, she directed the choir in »Volksfeind for future« at the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus (directed by Volker Lösch.) For the 2021/22 season, she has had a permanent engagement at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg. Important roles in Heidelberg included Viola de Lesseps in »Shakespeare in Love« and participation in the research evening »Villa Abendsonne«.
