Massoud Baygan

Massoud Baygan was born in Tehran in 1957. He grew up in Munich from 1960, where he studied History, German and Hispanic studies from 1981 to 1990, spending two years in Seville and graduating with a Magister Artium.

From 1990 he worked at the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg, initially as an assistant director at the Junges Theater. From 1993 to the season 2021/22, he was a member of the ensemble in numerous plays, including Ahab in »Moby Dick«, the magician in »Krabat«, Captain Hook in »Peter Pan«, Luke the Engine Driver in »Jim Knopf« and Miller in »Kabale und Liebe«.

In the season 2024/25, Massoud appeared at the Junges Theater as Beppo in »Momo«. He will return to the Junges Theater Heidelberg in the season 2025/26 and will appear in »Die kleine Hexe«.
