Zino Wey, born in Basel in 1988, works as a director, author and stage designer in various contexts. His own productions have taken him to the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Schauspielhaus Zürich, the Volksbühne Berlin, the Residenztheater München, the Schauspielhaus Wien, the Nationaltheater Mannheim, the Kaserne Basel, Theater Lübeck, the Bühnen Bern and the Staatsschauspiel Stuttgart, among others. Since 2013 Zino Wey has been part of the interdisciplinary theatre collective GKW, with whom he realises projects internationally. From 2012-14 he was assistant director with Johan Simons at the Münchner Kammerspiele. In 2017 and 2018, he was nominated in the Theater Heute annual survey as a young director and stage designer, respectively.
