Juju

The Afro-German artist from Mannheim is studying International Business Administration and Foreign Trade B.A. at the University of Applied Sciences Worms. As co-founder of the association Ore Arts e. V., she advocates for diversity in the German art and culture scene through socio-political intervention work. Her debut as an artist was as a performer in the experimental short film »Skin Politics«, which was filmed and produced by Ore Arts e. V. As part of the Theaterfestival Schwindelfrei in Mannheim she participated in the residency program with Ore Arts. With the choreographer and personal mentor Allan Falieri, »Sisters of the Yam« was created, in which the group of artists dealt with healing processes of the Afro-diasporic and African community. In numerous talks and panel discussions, among others with Dr. Natasha A. Kelly, Juju is committed to the voice of black artists in Germany.

In addition to these activities, she is also active as a stand-up comedienne in Berlin, Heidelberg and Mannheim. The topics of diversity, identity formation processes and socio-political conflicts are a fundamental part of her stand-up.
