Katja Wolff

After graduating from high school, Katja Wolff studied German, theatre, film and television studies, philosophy and politics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. After years of training as an assistant director, she took on the position of head director at the Hans-Otto-Theater in Potsdam for two years. Since then she has worked as a freelance director of both plays and musical theatre in Germany and Switzerland, including Berlin, Bielefeld, Osnabrück, Bonn, Schwerin, Mainz, Nürnberg, Stuttgart, Dresden, St. Gallen, Thun, Basel and Zürich. She has worked as a guest lecturer at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art in Berlin, the UdK Berlin and the University of St. Gallen. Katja Wolff also devotes herself to the development of new material in teams of authors. Among other things, she was significantly involved in the creation of the revues »Heiße Zeiten«, »Höchste Zeit«, »Wir sind mal kurz weg« and »Himmlische Zeiten« as well as the musical »Go Trabi Go«. Katja Wolff lives in Berlin.
