Jana Gmelin

Jana Gmelin first studied theater and media studies and German language and literature in Erlangen and Uppsala, Sweden, and then dramaturgy at the Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich. She assisted in directing and dramaturgy at various municipal theaters and worked on numerous theater productions as a dramaturge during her studies. In 2019, she was part of the management duo of the student theater festival »UWE - der Festival«. Her first engagement in 2020 took her to the Institute for Theatrical Futurology at the Zimmertheater Tübingen. Since the 2023/24 season, Jana Gmelin has been working as a city dramaturge and artistic director of zwinger x at the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg.
