Jens Veeser

Born in Ostfildern near Stuttgart, Jens Veeser began his music studies with Prof. Matthias Weber at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart in 2009. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in double bass, he completed his Master's degree with distinction in summer 2016. As an academist and substitute, Jens Veeser was able to gain important experience with renowned orchestras during his studies. He played as an academist with the SWR Symphonieorchester in Stuttgart, as a regular substitute with the WDR Sinfonieorchester in Cologne, in temporary contracts with the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker, the Staatstheater Stuttgart and the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Jens Veeser gained his first solo experience in numerous chamber concerts as a solo recitalist and in solo recitals with the Philharmonisches Orchester Heidelberg and the Schwäbisches Kammerorchester, among others. In addition to his classical engagements, he regularly plays electric bass and jazz double bass in orchestral and band constellations. Since April 2016 Jens Veeser has been solo double bassist with the Philharmonisches Orchester Heidelberg.
