Invited for the 61st Theatertreffen der Berliner Festspiele 2024
In the middle of Thuringia’s countryside, a collective of performers is looking for a topic for their show with the aim of attracting as much national interest as possible. As that in itself is challenge enough, they decide to focus on a choreographer who attacked a critic with dog poop: a true event that made the headlines for a few weeks and was interpreted as an attack on the freedom of press and on democratic culture. During their rehearsal, they get scared of becoming personae non gratae themselves and they get drawn into an argument that threatens to destroy the collective.
