The year-round series of events at the afro-Festival Heidelberg takes a look at a music genre that has particularly shaped black communities - or was it the other way around? Under the moderation of Aisha Camara, the artists Torch, Miss Eleo and Bruder Bender will talk about the roots of hip hop as a style and as a culture in its own right - in Germany and especially in Heidelberg - and share their personal perspectives. In addition to exciting discussions, you can also look forward to a live performance by Bruder Bender and a rousing talk by Torch about the origins of the genre and his experiences as a long-time member of the scene.
