»Winter Travels« combines the nostalgia for home with the image of travelling in winter. It also combines 17th century music, among others by Michael Praetorius, Andreas Hammerschmidt, Philipp Heinrich Erlebach and Johann Hermann Schein, with texts by contemporary writers, among them Saša Stanišić who, as a child, had to leave his home in Bosnia due to the war and grew up in Heidelberg. Text and music enter into a dialogue and invite you to take a mental journey to your own self, your soul, your own identity or to what you could refer to as nostalgia for home.
