Idea and concept

The zwinger x event series opens up the theater stage to urban society and thus to all conceivable art and discourse formats in which we want to engage with the present. As different as the content, formats and aesthetics are, they are united by a common aspiration: the aim is to make the diversity of society more visible, especially in cultural institutions, to think about changing perspectives and to develop positive visions for the future through joint discourse.

zwinger x wants to use the resources provided by the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg to facilitate dialog and encounters. We want to combat the division into different camps, listen to each other and hold events with empathy and respect that are enriching and fun - despite the difficulties of these times!

Each event takes place in cooperation with an initiative, association or individual from Heidelberg and the surrounding area.
