Natalya Boeva

The Russian mezzo-soprano Natalya Boeva, who was praised for her »blazing mezzo« (Süddeutsche Zeitung) and her »high musicality with the best diction« (Online Merkur), won one of the most prestigious competitions for classical music in 2018, the International ARD Music Competition in Munich, where she was also honoured with the special prize for the best interpretation of the commissioned composition by Stefano Gervasoni and the ifp Music Award for »an outstanding achievement in singing«. Her upcoming roles in the 2023/24 season include Olga in Tchaikovsky's »Eugene Onegin« and the leading role in Handel's »Serse« at the Staatstheater Augsburg, as well as concert appearances with the Duisburger Philharmonikern under the direction of Axel Kober and the Bamberger Symphoniker under the direction of Tarmo Peltokoski.
The 2022/23 season was characterised by lively concert activity. Natalya Boeva made her debut with the Duisburger Philharmonikern and the Audi Jugendchorakademie at the Philharmonie in the Mercatorhalle Duisburg and at the Audi-Sommerkonzerten at Theater Ingolstadt with Schumann's »Faust Scenes« under the direction of Axel Kober, at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig with Mahler's »Das Lied von der Erde« under the direction of Matthias Foremny, with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin with Mendelssohn's »Elijah« under the direction of Martin Steidler and in the large concert hall of the conservatory in Tbilisi (Georgia) in a chamber music recital by the young Armenian composer Ovanes Ambartsumian. In addition, Natalya Boeva's debut CD »Meine Seele weinte ...« was released in March 2023 in a co-production with Bayerischer Rundfunk with compositions by Schubert, Strauss, Szymanowski and Russian contemporaries Dmitri Smirnov and Alexander Labyrich. Natalya Boeva has been a member of the Augsburg State Theatre ensemble since the 2018/19 season.
