Katharina Uhland

Katharina Uhland was born in Darmstadt. During her training at Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich, she made guest appearances at Münchner Kammerspiele. This was followed by engagements at Schauspielhaus Zürich, Schauspiel Hannover, Theater Oberhausen, Staatstheater Darmstadt, Deutsches Theater Göttingen, Hans-Otto-Theater Potsdam, Theater und Orchester Heidelberg, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe and Staatstheater Nürnberg, among others. She has worked with Sebastian Nübling, Jürgen Gosch, Marco Štorman, Lilja Rupprecht, Brit Bartkowiak, Thomas Dannemann, Alexander Nerlich, Ran Chai Bar-zvi and Prinzip Gonzo. The group Hoffland, which she co-founded, was invited to various theatre festivals with the documentary work »Innenwelten oder der Pudel in dir«. In addition to theatre, she also works in documentary film. »Auf einer Skala von 1 bis 10« is her documentary film debut and won the audience award at International Lichterfilmfest Frankfurt. She tours with her 2-person orchestra »kleineReise« together with actor Florian Thunemann and has already released three albums (www.kleinereise.org). She regularly collaborates with the Austrian-Swiss collective Café Fuerte, with whom she will play at an international theatre festival in Croatia in 2024. Katharina Uhland has been a permanent member of the acting ensemble at Staatstheater Mainz since 2021/22. At Theater und Orchester Heidelberg, she has already performed in »Der Prozess« based on Franz Kafka and "»Fabian« based on Erich Kästner, among others, and in 2023/24 she will make a guest appearance in the world premiere of »Blaupause« by Leonie Lorena Wyss.
