Camilla Hägebarth

Camilla Hägebarth is a freelance stage and costume designer. After assisting at Wilhelma Theatre Stuttgart, Staatsoper Stuttgart and for the Wiener Festwochen she studied at the Universität für Angewandte Kunst Wien in the class for stage and film design and scenography at the Norwegian Theatre Academy in Fredrikstad. She has created her own works for theatre and opera at the Volkstheater Wien, Brut Wien, Kosmos Theater Wien, regional theatres in Linz, Lower Austria and Tyrol, Bregenz Festival, Münchner Volkstheater, Hans Otto Theater Potsdam, Schauspielhaus Leipzig and Staatstheater Darmstadt, among others. In the critics' survey conducted by the journal »Theater Heute«, she was named the best up-and-coming artist for the stage in »Drei Schwestern« at Staatstheater Darmstadt in 2021. She has a long-standing collaboration with the Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson as part of the group WIENER MALER, they design and create sets for international exhibitions and performances. Camilla Hägebarth is designing the stage set for »Nora« at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg in 2024, directed by Jana Vetten, with whom she already worked on »Werther« at Bregenz Festival in 2023.
