Cilli Drexel

Cilli Drexel studied directing at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg from 2002 to 2006. Engagements have taken her to the Deutsches Theater Berlin, Schauspiel Leipzig, Schauspiel Essen, Theater Basel, E.T.A.-Hoffmann-Theater Bamberg and Theater Bielefeld, among others. She was resident director at the Nationaltheater Mannheim from 2009 to 2012. Cilli Drexel has many years of experience in dealing with contemporary drama. Her production of »Defending Europe« by Konstantin Küspert won the audience award at the Mülheimer Theatertage 2017. She is also a mentor at the Theaterakademie Hamburg.
