Elisabeth Auer

Elisabeth Auer trained as an actress at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Stuttgart and studied singing at Opernschule Heidelberg-Mannheim. She received her first engagement at Nationaltheater Mannheim in 1980. Further engagements were at Staatstheater Karlsruhe and most recently at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg from 2000 to 2005. Since 2006, independent productions and guest performances have followed in Germany and Switzerland. Among other things, she realised numerous performances and world premieres with the Neues Ensemble Mannheim, including works by Marie NDiaye, Etel Adnan and Peter Handke. Elisabeth Auer has also worked as a freelance guest at various theatres, for example in Wiesbaden, Oldenburg, Stuttgart and Bonn. In Heidelberg, she performed in the Finnish play »These little town blues are melting away« in 2014/15, in »Am Königsweg« by Elfriede Jelinek and the world premiere of »Drift« by Ulrike Syha.
