Yana Robin La Baume was born in Hamburg in 1989. She finished her acting degree in 2014 at Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. From 2014 to 2019 she was engaged at Staatstheater Darmstadt. There she worked with Eike Hannemann, Christoph Mehler, Bettina Bruinier, Gustav Rueb, Lily Sykes, Laura Linnenbaum and Simone Blattner, among others. From 2020 to 2022 she performed in various roles as a guest actor at Theater Münster. The play »Maria Magda« by Svenja Viola Bungarten, which won the Autor*innenpreis of Heidelberger Stückemarkt 2021, marks her first performance at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg.
