Johann Aparicio Bohórquez

Johann Aparicio Bohórquez has already performed as a soloist with orchestras such as Chamber Orchestre Nouvelle du Paris, Budapest String, Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, Mainz Sinfonietta, Jenaer Philharmoniker and the Junges Sinfonieorchester Berlin. In addition to his solo activities, he devotes himself with great dedication to chamber music. He plays with partners such as Elisabeth Leonskaja, Hariolf Schlichtig, Lena Neudauer and Daniel Gaede. Guest appearances have taken him as a soloist to international festivals, including the Tanglewood Festival, Rheingau Music Festival, Podium Festival Esslingen, Mozartiade Augsburg, Max-Reger Tage in Weiden and Cape Classic in South Africa. With his trio »Lieto« he gave concerts in Europe and Asia. Currently he plays with his piano trio ╗»Eliade« with George Tudorache and Claudia Bara. He began his studies in 2003 at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne with Prof. Hans Christian Schweiker. In addition to numerous prizes and scholarships such as Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now and Villa Musica, he was able to further his studies in chamber music at the UDK Berlin with the Artemis Quartet from 2009 to 2010. He completed his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt with Prof. Laszlo Fenyö and in the concert exam with Prof. Michael Sanderling. Master classes with Prof. Wolfgang Böttcher, David Cohen and Prof. Claudio Bohórquez completed his artistic career. He has worked with conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel and Leonard Slatkin. Johann Aparicio Bohorquez has been principal cellist of the Philharmonisches Orchester Heidelberg since 2012. In solo position he also played in orchestras such as the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Weimar Staatskapelle and the Bamberger Symphoniker.
