Lydia Lehmann

Lydia Lehmann, born 1998, studied performing and liberal arts and acting at Universität der Künste in Berlin, at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste and Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock since 2019. In her own projects, she deals with themes of identity and sexuality, feminism and patriarchy, belonging and demarcation. This could be seen for the first time in December 2021 in her film and performance »Gekochter Frosch« at the Volksbühne Berlin. She has a special focus on interdisciplinary work and contemporary texts. During her studies, she made a guest appearance at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg in 2022 as part of the Remmidemmi Festival in »Abschuss« by Özlem Özgül Dündar (directed by Marie Bues, Niko Eleftheriadis). With leading roles, she recently appeared in films and a series that won awards at the Cine Paris Film Festival and the Berlin Indie Film Festival, among others. For the opening production at Schauspielhaus Wien in 2023/24, she is acting in »Bühnenbeschimpfung« by Sivan Ben Yishai.
