Dirk Weiler

Dirk Weiler trained in acting, singing and dance at the Folkwang University of the Arts, as well as in New York at the Manhattan School of Music, City College and Brooklyn College, and received his acting training at New York's Studio Expressions. He lived and worked in New York from 1998 to 2008, then in London, and finally returned to Germany in 2009. At home in both spoken theatre and musical theatre, he has played numerous leading roles since his return, such as Dr. Siedler in »Im Weißen Rößl«, Harald in »Ganz oder Gar Nicht«, Bobby Child in »Crazy for You«, Herod in »Jesus Christ Superstar«, Anatoly in »Chess«, Captain Ahab in »Moby Dick«, Albin/ZaZa in »Ein Käfig voller Narren«, Frommermann in »Comedian Harmonists«, Roger De Bris in »The Producers«, Frank Senior in »Catch me if you can«, Joey in »Sister Act«, Sewer Man in »Dear World«, Trofimov in »The Cherry Orchard«, Feste in »Was Ihr Wollt«, Mr. Green in »Ewig Jung«, Jesus in »Don Camillo und Peppone«, Mr. Orgon in »Das Spiel von Liebe und Zufall«, Bernhard in »Der Messias«, Narrator in »All das Schöne«, Magic King in »Geschichten aus dem Wiener Wald«. Dirk Weiler also works as a tap dance teacher, tap choreographer and director, and as a speaker for radio and advertising.
