Hanna Green initially trained as a process mechanic for coating technology before devoting herself to studying music and English literature. She studied in Heidelberg and Birmingham (UK) under Silke Leopold, Daniele Rosina and Paul Rodmell, among others. In the Electroacoustic Music Studios at the University of Birmingham, she discovered her love of synthetic and electroacoustically modified original sounds under James Carpenter, Scott Wilson and Manfredi Clemente.
After returning from England, she was hired as a sound engineer at the Nationaltheater Mannheim in 2015, where the versatile Heidelberger of choice also took over the video technology and stage videography for various theatre productions in the 2018/19 season. During this time, she worked as a video artist with Anna Schmutz, Anna-Elisabeth Frick and Claudia Bauer, among others. After smaller sound design projects for theatre and dance productions, the first major sound design for Giuseppe Spota's ballet evening »The Four Seasons« followed in 2019.
In 2020, she transferred to the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg as a permanent video artist, where she created the online theatre game »Bambi« with Ekat Cordes and was invited to the 25. Baden-Württembergische Theater Tage in Heilbronn with Natascha Kalmbach's production »Angst oder Hase«.
She has been working as a freelance photographer, media artist and event technician in Germany and abroad since 2016. She has realised works with Miriam Lemdjadi, Meriam Bousslemi, Chris Thrope and Javaad Alipoor, Jenke Nordalm and the group Laokoon, among others.
She is a permanent member of the performance collective Mütterkünste. Since the 2022/23 season, she has been head of the video and visualisation department at the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg.
